Hardware can be critically important to the functionality of your garage door. Most custom wood doors require special hardware and rollers in order for the door to roll smoothly and to be balanced properly. You may have the most beauiful custom wood door, but without the proper installation and proper hardware, you may be taking life expectancy away from the door’s life.
The correct hardware that contributes to the life expectancy of the door include theproper springs, cables, the size of the drums and the right radius used for proper headroom availablity. Proper measurement of door height and headroom with the correct hardware for each individual door is key for the operator function and also critical to the longevity of the door. The hardware that is used in each application is critical in achieving the maximum performance for the door, and the correct hardware will also extend the door’s life.
Secured Entries, Inc. has also begun using powder coated hardware in some applications. This enables your hardware to be coated with an enamel color such as white or black instead of the dull silver metal look that you normally get with garage door hardware. This particular style is being demonstrated at the HGTV House Beautiful magazine home at 395 Greenleaf Avenue in Glencoe, IL.
Here are the Marantec Operators that Secured Entries installs on all of our garage doors.
